DataLink, CUC reach agreement

Cayman Islands-based DataLink, a wholly owned subsidiary of local utility firm Caribbean Utilities Company (CUC), was issued a license by the Information and Communication Technology Authority (ICTA) to provide fiber-optic network services in Grand Cayman, Canada NewsWire reported.

Under the award, CUC and DataLink have entered into management and maintenance, pole attachment and fiber-optic agreements.

The license allows DataLink to assume full responsibility for the existing Pole Attachment Agreements and Optical Fiber Lease Agreement held by CUC with third party information and communications technology (ICT) service providers.
